Effects of Active Component Ginsenoside Rb1 on Myocardial Mitochondrial Function in Exhaustive Exercise-induced Rats
To investigate the effects of ginsenoside Rbl,an active component of ginseng,on myocardial mito-chondrial function in exhaustive exercise-induced rats.SPF-grade male SD rats were divided into different experi-mental groups, subjected to ginsenoside Rb1 treatment, and underwent exhaustive exercise.Myocardial tissue samples were collected, and various analytical methods, including assessments of myocardial cell apoptosis, superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),malondialdehyde(MDA)levels,ATP content, and mitochondrial respiratory chain complex activity, were employed. The results of the study indicated that ginsenoside Rb1 treatment significantly reduced myocardial cell apoptosis, enhanced SOD and CAT activities, decreased MDA levels, increased ATP content, and promoted the activity of mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes in exhaustive exercise-induced rats. These findings highlight the protective role of ginsenoside Rbl on myocardial mitochondrial function, providing valuable insights for further research and development of therapeutic strategies in the field of cardiac health.
