Analysis of the Impact of Plant Arrangement on Microclimate Regulation in Urban Green Spaces
Urban green spaces play a crucial role in improving the urban ecological environment and enhancing the quality of life for residents.The arrangement of plants in urban green spaces is one of the key factors influenc-ing microclimates,with the potential to regulate urban temperatures,humidity,and wind speeds.This review ex-amines in detail the impact of plant arrangements on urban microclimates,emphasizing their critical role in urban sustainability planning and management.Through plant transpiration,shading,and cooling effects,urban green spaces can alleviate the urban heat island effect and enhance the urban temperature environment.Furthermore,plants contribute to controlling humidity levels in cities by releasing water vapor,reducing evaporation,and in-creasing air humidity,thereby improving air quality.Additionally,plant arrangements can slow down wind speeds,guide wind direction,and reduce wind energy,thereby enhancing the urban wind environment and mitigating dis-comfort and damage caused by high winds.This review provides practical recommendations for urban planners,e-cologists,and urban designers on how to improve urban microclimates through plant arrangements while empha-sizing the importance of urban green space management in achieving sustainable urban goals.
