The SSR Variation Analysis for Cultivated Population of Castanea henryi Variety'Youzhen'
The northern part of Fujian Province is the main producing area of Castanea henryi, and'Youzhen'is one of the fine varieties widely planted in Jian'ou City. The SSR molecular markers were used to analyze the ge-netic diversity of the'Youzhen'cultivated population and explore its variation. The PCR was performed on 30 trees of'Youzhen'cultivated population with 10 SSR primer combinations. The 26 bands were amplified and all of them were polymorphic. The genetic similarity coefficient between trees varied from 0.115 4 to 1.000 0,with an average of 0.877 2,indicating that'Youzhen'had high genetic diversity. In order to understand the genetic relationship of 30 trees,a cluster analysis was performed, among which YZ5 and YZ1 were clustered into one group separately, and the other 28 plants were clustered into one group. The results provide a theoretical basis for the selection of ex-cellent trees in the cultivaed population of Castanea henryi.
