Correlation and Path Analysis of Yield Composition of Large Fruit-type Peanut Varieties with High Oleic Acid
The correlation analysis of yield composition of 11 agronomic characters of peanut variety'Kainong 308'with high oleic acid was carried out.The results showed that the coefficient of variation of each character ranged from 2.95%to 30.53%,the lowest coefficient of variation of peanut kernel yield was 2.95%,and the varia-tion coefficients of fruit number per plant, productivity per plant, total branch number, fruiting branch number, hundred kernel weight, hundred fruit weight, main stem height, branch length and pod yield were all above 10%.The peanut kernel yield, hundred kernel weight and hundred fruit weight were positively correlated with the yield. There were significant positive correlations between main stem height and lateral branch length, hundred fruit weight and hundred kernel weight, fruit number per plant and satiety rate, hundred kernel weight and peanut kernel yield, hundred fruit weight and peanut kernel yield.Although the direct path coefficient of hundred kernel weight, number of fruit branches and number of fruit per plant on yield is negative,it has a higher indirect effect through other traits, and finally has a positive correlation with yield. Therefore, these factors should be considered compre-hensively in peanut breeding to coordinate the relationship between characters.
