Recent Advances of MYB Gene Regulating the Anthocyanin Synthesis in Plants
Anthocyanins are a very important type of secondary metabolites in higher plants, which can determine the color of flowers and fruits, and at the same time have high nutrition and health functions.MYB protein is the most extensive regulatory factor in the synthesis of plant anthocyanins, and plays an important regulatory role in the synthesis of plant anthocyanins. This paper describes the current research status of anthocyanin synthesis,intro-duces the positive and negative regulatory effects of MYB gene in anthocyanin synthesis of different plants, and summarizes how MYB gene interacts with other factors to regulate anthocyanin synthesis and the influence of ex-ternal environmental factors on the synthesis of anthocyanins. This review aims to provide a theoretical basis for the improvement of crop varieties, with a view to cultivating crop varieties that are rich in anthocyanins, safe and high-quality.
