Spectrometry Combined Paper Chromatography Identify the Components of Three Chromatic Chinese Rose Anthocyanidins
In order to identify the anthocyanidins of different colors, the anthocyanidins in petals of three varieties of Chinese rose from red, yellow and blue-purple were analyzed by using the methods of chromogenic reaction, paper chromatography and spectroscopy. The results showed that the anthocyanidins of'The Pilgrim'petals were mainly flavonoids, which might be chalcone, oleanone, dihydroflavone, flavonol or flavonol compounds.Antho-cyanidins in the petals of'Rouge Meilland'included cornflower centaur-3,5-glucoside,flavonoids compounds, chalcone and dihydroflavones. The'Kinda Blue'anthocyanidins were might paeoniflorin-3-rue glycoside, but may also contain chalcone and dihydroflavones.Through the measurement of the pH value of the petals at the full blos-som stage,it was further speculated that the reason of the'Kinda Blue'appears and bluish purple might be that paeoniflorin lost protons and formed bluish quinone type.
