Investigation of Maturity,Quality and Fertility Traits of Early Maturity Lines in Hainan in Brassica napus L.
To further expand the planting area and multifunctional use of new self-bred early maturing Brassica napus L.varieties(lines),63 B.napus L.and 3 Brassia campestris L.varieties(lines)were planted in Haikou and Dongfang,Hainan Province,which were uesd to study the changes of fertility,seed quality and high tempera-ture and heat resistance performance of each material by different cultivation methods.The results showed that 33 lines of overwintering planted monocultures of B.napus L.in Haikou showed early maturity,with seed fertility ranging from 77 to 124 d.The fertility of intercropping with bitter melon in autumn sowing in Dongfang ranged from 89 to 145 d.There were 22 lines of B.napus L.that could be harvested together with bitter melon(bitter mel-on fertility≤ 120 d).The mean oil content of overwintered and intercropped B.napus L.was 32.82%and 32.35%,among which the highest oil content was 42.52%for the variety'Liyouza 718'.There were 4 low erucic acid vari-eties(≤3%)and 17 low thioside varieties(≤30%)in overwintering cultivars in Haikou,3 low erucic acid and 13 low sulfur glycosides in 29 materials intercropped with bitter melon in Dongfang,of which the overwintering vari-ety 20N9-314-1 and the autumn-sown variety 20N9-314-2 met the double-low standard,and the seed quality var-ied slightly in different seasons or locations of planting.Five of the Haikou summer-sown reference materials(20N9-114-1 × 20N9-115-1,440-1,20N9-356-1,'Se Ziyuan No.2'and 21QZ-314-2)changed from sterile to partially sterile(PS)after being moved from outdoor to indoor incubators.The results of this study can provide technical support for new lines of kale type oilseed rape to break through the southern kale type oilseed rape grow-ing area and provide a reference for multifunctional development applications such as ornamental,vegetable and oil extraction in Hainan Province.
