Preliminary Analysis on the Difference of Nutritional Components of Ca-janus cajan in Different Harvest Periods
Pigeonpea(Cajanus cajan)is a kind of leguminous plant that can be used as both medicine and food.In order to explore the dynamic changes of nutrient components of different germplasm resources pigeonpea in differ-ent harvesting periods. In this experiment,we selected 8 sampling times to measure and compare the nutrient con-tent(dry matter, crude protein, general flavone, etc.)of pigeonpea, and finally to determine the best harvesting pe-riod.The results showed that the contents of dry matter(DM),crude protein(CP)and general flavone(GF)were the highest in the initial flowering stage and then decreased. The contents of neutral detergent fiber(NDF)and acid detergent fiber(ADF)increased gradually and then reached a stable level, while the contents of soluble sugar(SS)and water-soluble extract(WSE)decreased first and then increased. There was a significant positive correlation between crude protein and general flavone(P<0.05).The crude protein and dry matter contents were the highest at the initial flowering, and the content of general flavone was significantly higher than many other periods(P<0.05).The contents of crude protein and dry matter of pigeonpea were at the peak in initial flowering, and the content of general flavone was significantly higher than most other periods(P<0.05),the general flavone and crude protein of 9-HK2 showed better performance. The results of this study can provided a theoretical basis for germplasm selec-tion,cross breeding and the best cultivation pattern of pigeonpea.
