The Mechanism of Four Endophytic Fungi in Inducing the Synthesis of Saponins of Pairs polyphylla var.yunnanensis
Endophytic fungi can promote plant growth through metabolism and stimulate the accumulation of useful components in medicinal plants. In order to solve problems that the slow growth and the long period re-quired for the accumulation of medicinal components of Pairs polyphylla var.yunnanensis,In this study, four en-dophytic fungi were selected and inoculated into seedlings of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis.The detection of botanical traits, photosynthetic characteristics, steroidal saponin content and expression levels of key genes about saponins expression level of key genes of Paris polyphylla steroidal saponins, and dissecting the mechanisms of symbiosis, moving from physiological ecological to molecular levels. The results showed that four endophytic fun gi had the ability to fix nitrogen and produce indoleacetic acid(IAA),and promote biomass accumulation;Tricho-derma viride(8-6)could significantly improve the photosynthetic ability of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis;Cy-lindrocarpon sp.(8-13)promotes the accumulation of saponins;real time PCR showed that the accumulation of total saponins might be related to the up regulation of saponin synthesis pathway genes. These results provide a theoretical basis for the study of endophytic fungi used as microbial fertilizer to promote the growth of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis.
