Genome-wide Identification and Expression Analysis of the MGT Gene Family in Populus trichocarpa
To explore the role of MGT gene family in growth and development and stress response of poplar,in this study,the number,evolutionary relationship,chromosomal location,gene structure,basic characteristics of coding proteins and cis acting elements of promoter of PtrMGT gene family members were identified by bioinfor-matics method in the whole genome of Populus trichocarpa.The specificity of tissue expression and the response to NaCl stress and ABA treatment.The results showed that the PtrMGT family contained 10 genes,which could be divided into 4 subfamilies.There were 2 pairs of paralogous genes and the Ka/Ks value was less than 1.The pro-moter regions of family members contained 12 species and 146 elements,which were different in number of abiot-ic stress response elements.Proteins encoded by the PtrMGT family all contained GMN,and the sequence of pro-teins encoded by the same subfamily gene was relatively conservative.The expression levels of PtrMGT family members were different in roots,stems and leaves.Under NaCl stress,the expression levels of PtrMGT family genes in roots,stems and leaves were firstly increased and then decreased during 0~48 h.Under ABA treatment,the expression of PtrMGT family genes was differentiated,and the expression of most members increased first and then decreased,while the expression of a small number of members continued to decrease.These results indicated that ptrMGT family genes were responsive to NaCl stress and ABA treatment,and the response patterns were dif-ferentiated.This study provides a theoretical basis for further revealing the function of PtrMGT gene family.
