Identification and Expression of VQ Family Genes in Tobacco
The VQ family represent a plant specific family and play multiple roles in development, biotic and abi-otic stress responses. In this study, bioinformatics and comparative genomics methods were used to identify VQ family members in tobacco genome, and evolutionary analysis, collinearity analysis, replication analysis and ex-pression pattern analysis were performed. In current study,a total of 57 VQ family members were identified in to-bacco genome, while 33 of those were anchored on chromosomes successfully. The phylogenetic analysis revealed that the newly identified tobacco VQ family members together with reported Arabidopsis members fall into 9 sub-families.The collinearity analysis showed that NtVQ23 in tobacco formed collinearity gene pairs with AtVQ16 in Arabidopsis.Meanwhile, analysis of replication events in the tobacco genome shows that genome-wide repeat events play an important role in the expansion of VQ family members. In addition, the expression patterns of some VQ family members were also analyzed. The results showed that the expression of VQ gene was tissue-specific,and NtVQ9,NtVQ26 and other genes could be significantly induced by bacterial wilt inoculation and salt stress treatment. In this study,VQ family members of tobacco were identified and analyzed, which provided a basis for further study on the function of VQ family members.
