The Application of Conventional Breeding Techniques in the Development of Garden Plant Resources
Landscape plant resource development is an essential component of ecological environment construc-tion and the enhancement of human life quality.Conventional breeding technology,as one of the primary means for plant genetic improvement,plays a crucial role in the development of landscape plant resources.This review,starting from the significance of landscape plant resources,provides an overview of the diversity and application value of these resources,along with the challenges faced in resource development.It extensively discusses the ba-sic principles and methods of conventional breeding technology,emphasizing its application value in plant re-source development.The review particularly focuses on the application of conventional breeding technology in as-pects such as the cultivation of new varieties,technological improvement,quality enhancement,as well as resis-tance and adaptability improvement.Through case analyses and empirical studies,this review elucidates successful cases and practical applications of conventional breeding technology in various landscape plant resource develop-ments.It anticipates the prospects of conventional breeding technology in the field,underscores the importance of technological innovation,and proposes solutions to the challenges faced.The aim is to provide valuable references for the sustainable utilization and future development of landscape plant resources.
