The Contribution of Native Plant-Dominated Landscaping Design to En-hancing Biodiversity
This study aims to explore the contribution of landscape design dominated by native plants to enhanc-ing biodiversity.By delving into the definition and characteristics of native plants and the role of landscape design in biodiversity conservation,the significance of this design concept in urban environments is emphasized.The study examines the close relationship between landscape design and biodiversity,defining the goals and definition of landscape design and dissecting their mutual interactions.Mechanisms for increasing biodiversity,providing e-cosystem services,and the positive impact on environmental sustainability are discussed.Using the Hangzhou Botanical Garden as a case study,the study showcases the rich ecological selection of native plants,multi-level plant layout,and the tangible enhancement of biodiversity and societal benefits.Through a combination of theoret-ical analysis and empirical case studies,this study comprehensively elaborates on the pivotal role of landscape de-sign dominated by native plants in biodiversity conservation.It provides theoretical guidance and practical recom-mendations for promoting biodiversity conservation and urban sustainability.
