Analysis of miRNAs Related to the Developmental Stage of Capsicum chinense Fruit Based on High-throughput Sequencing
The maturation process of pepper is a complex process that is regulated by gene expression and coor-dinated by multiple pathways.Among them, microRNA plays an important role in regulating gene expression. In this study,in order to further explore the functions of miRNA and its target genes in capsicum fruits during fruit ripening,a small RNA library of Chinese pepper(Capsicum chinense)fruits of different maturity periods in green, color, and red ripe periods was constructed, and Use bioinformatics analysis to explore the signal pathways in its regulation process. The results showed that 22 138 507,17 692 000 and 14 480 729 miRNA sequences were obtained in the three periods, and a total of 149 conservative miRNAs were identified.Among them, there were 3 and 7 miRNAs that were down-regulated and up-regulated from the green ripening stage to the color transition stage, and 26 and 22 miRNAs were down-regulated and up-regulated from the green ripening stage to the red ripening stage, indicating that microRNAs are involved in fruit ripening process.Target gene prediction and functional enrichment analysis show that they may be involved in signal pathways mediated by ethylene, auxin, cytokinin, abscisic acid, and jasmonic acid. The results of this study provide a possible theoretical basis for future research on the hormonal regulation changes in pepper ripening.
