Application of Conventional Breeding Techniques in Botanical Garden Landscape Design
This study explores the application of conventional breeding techniques in botanical garden landscape design, demonstrating their practical effects through various case studies. The research analyzes cases including the cultivation of multicolored Bougainvillea, various hues of rapeseed flowers, colorful rice, multicolored chrysanthe-mums,ornamental trees, and stress-tolerant lawn grass. These cases highlight the significance of breeding tech-niques in enhancing the ornamental value and ecological functions of plants. The study underscores the importance of integrating conventional breeding techniques in garden landscape design, particularly in enhancing plant diversi-ty,improving ecological environments, and increasing visual appeal.Based on the analysis of these cases,recom-mendations for future garden landscape design and plant breeding technology development are proposed. These in-clude continuous innovation in technology, maintaining ecological diversity, enhancing public education and par-ticipation,promoting interdisciplinary cooperation, and advocating for sustainable garden practices.
