Comprehensive Comparison of Ecological and Economic Benefits of Plant Resources in Landscape Design
With the continuous advancement of urbanization,landscape design plays an important role in urban planning.Plant resources,as the core of landscape design,not only beautify the urban environment but also bring dual benefits to ecology and economy.This study categorizes and introduces commonly used plant resources in landscape design,including trees,flowers,ground cover plants,and vines.In terms of ecological benefits,by ana-lyzing the impact of plant resources on the ecosystem,we have delved into the mechanisms of biodiversity mainte-nance,air and water quality improvement,and ecosystem service functions.In terms of economic benefits,the con-tribution of plant resources in value-added and aesthetics,production and industrial development,energy conserva-tion and environmental protection was analyzed.This study comprehensively explores the ecological and econom-ic benefits of plant resources in landscape design,compares the contributions of different plant resources,and for-mulates comprehensive evaluation indicators,aiming to provide scientific management and planning strategies for urban landscape design and achieve sustainable development of ecology and economy.
