The Multiple Values of Functional Plants in Landscape Design
The value of functional plants in landscape design is a comprehensive issue that covers multiple levels,including ecology,aesthetics,culture,society,and technology.This review starts from the ecological value of functional plants and explores their roles in air purification,water source protection,biodiversity maintenance,and ecological restoration.Subsequently,by analyzing its aesthetic value,the unique contributions of functional plants in terms of color beauty,form beauty,and artistic conception beauty were elaborated.In the examination of cultur-al values,functional plants as carriers of history and culture,as well as their role in education and popular science,have been deeply discussed.In terms of social and psychological effects,the positive effects of functional plants on residents'quality of life,community cohesion,and human leisure and entertainment were explored.Through in-depth research on these issues,it is expected that functional plants will better leverage their multiple values in landscape design,creating more beautiful,ecological,culturally diverse,and intelligent landscape spaces.
