Identification,Characterization and Expression Patterns of the NRT2 Gene Family in Soybean
Nitrate transporter 2(NRT2)is a high affinity nitrate transporter, which plays an important role in nitrate uptake and transport in many plants under nitrogen stress. In this study,we performed genome-wide identification and bioinformatics analysis of the NRT2 family genes in soybean genome. The results showed that there were six NRT2 family genes in soybean genome, which were distributed on five chromosomes.Phylogenetic analysis showed that soybean NRT2 family genes could be clustered into two groups, members in the same group had simi-lar gene structure, and their conserved domains share similar distribution pattern. There were a large number of light response elements distributed in promoter regions of GmNRT2s,which indicates that the expression of GmN-RT2 gene may be regulated by light signal.Expression pattern analysis showed that GmNRT2s were mainly ex-pressed in root and root hairs, which indicates that GmNRT2s may be closely related to nitrogen uptake. These re-sults provide a reference for further exploring of the biological function of the soybean NRT2 family genes.
