Review of Research on Genetic Diversity of Amorphophallus Germplasm Resources
Amorphophallus genus are perennial herb plant of Araceae.It is rich in glucomannan,which has high e-conomic value.It is widely grown in mountainous areas of China,Japan,Southeast Asia and other places.Amor-phophallus resources are naturally distributed in Asia and Africa,with a wide variety of species,and there are great differences between species.In order to exploit and utilize Amorphophallus resources efficiently,many methods have been used to reveal the genetic diversity of Amorphophallus resources.This study summarized and prospected the following aspects:research on morphological characteristics and morphological diversity of Amorphophallu,Amorphophallus cytology research(including chromosome number and karyotype),research on molecular diversity based on DNA molecular markers,and prospect the development prospects of Amorphophallus genus collection and utilization,genomics research and modern breeding.This will provide a reference for the research on Amor-phophallus resources.
