Molecular Marker Detection of Several Disease Resistance Genes in Tomato Germplasm
Tomato diseases are very harmful in tomato production, which can lead to a substantial decrease in tomato yield and quality. At present, there are few germplasm resources of disease-resistant tomato. Therefore, this study intends to detect the resistance genes of tomato root rot, tomato spot wilt and tomato yellow leaf curl virus on different tomato germplasm materials for molecular marker detection.According to the molecular marker primers of the reported resistance genes,PCR was performed on tomato germplasm materials to obtain specific fragments of the resistance genes.83 tomato germplasms were screened out as homozygous from the molecular markers for root rot resistance.Resistant to pathogens;4 tomato germplasms homozygous resistance were screened out of the molec-ular markers for resistance to tomato spot wilt virus disease;39 tomato germplasms homozygous resistance were screened out of the molecular markers for resistance to tomato yellow leaf curl virus disease. The research results can provide a theoretical basis for the rapid identification of tomato disease resistance breeding.
