Preliminary Analysis of the Function of FocGSNOR Gene from Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cubense
A S-nitrosoglutathione reductase(GSNOR)encoding gene FocGSNOR was identified in Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cubense tropical race 4(Foc TR4).In order to explore the functions of FocGSNOR on growth of Foc TR4 and the pathogenicity to the host, this study first constructed a knockout mutant strain of the protein coding gene, and further analyzed its growth and pathogenic phenotypes. The phenotype analysis revealed that FocGSNOR is required for vegetative growth, conidiation and pathogenicity of Foc TR4 to banana plant.Further more,knock-out of FocGSNOR significantly affected the fungicide resistance of Foc TR4 to iprodione, triadimefon and H2O2.These results suggested that FocGSNOR is an important pathogenicity factor of Foc TR4.
