Application and Innovation of Plant Patterns in Modern Architectural De-sign
Plant patterns, originating from various plants in nature such as leaves, flowers, branches, and fruits, are transformed into patterns and textures with aesthetic value through artistic processing and creative design. As an ancient and rich design element,it has shown unique charm and innovation potential in modern architectural de-sign.This study, through the analysis of the characteristics and properties of plant patterns, delves into their appli-cation details, design ideas, and implementation effects in modern architectural design.Especially through selected case studies, such as the"Supertrees"in Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, the facade design of the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the"Garden Bridge"project in London,it demonstrates how plant patterns are cleverly integrated into modern architecture, not only enriching the visual effect of the buildings but also enhancing their ecological performance and cultural value. This research, through comparative analysis of these cases,sum-marizes the successful factors and challenges faced by the application of plant patterns and looks forward to the fu-ture direction of the application and innovation of plant patterns in architectural design against the backdrop of technological advancement and theoretical development.
