Effects of Pterostilbene Combined with Endurance Exercise on Lipid Metabolism in Elderly Rats with Hyperlipidemia
This study aimed to investigate the effects of pterostilbene extracted from blueberries combined with endurance exercise on lipid metabolism in elderly rats with hyperlipidemia.By establishing a model of elderly hy-perlipidemic rats, the study explored the regulatory effects of endurance exercise alone, different doses of pterostil-bene treatment, and their combined application on the liver Nrf2/Keap1 signaling pathway. The results showed that compared to the hyperlipidemic model group, the combined intervention of endurance exercise and pterostilbene significantly increased the expression of nNrf2 protein and decreased the expression of Keap1 protein in the liver(P<0.05),indicating its potential in regulating oxidative stress response and improving lipid metabolism disorder.Especially, the activation effect on the Nrf2/Keap1 pathway was most significant in the highest dose of pterostil-bene combined with endurance exercise, highlighting the synergistic effect of pterostilbene and endurance exer-cise.Moreover,this study provides new insights into the non-pharmacological treatment of hyperlipidemia. In con-clusion,the combined application of pterostilbene and endurance exercise significantly improves lipid metabolism in elderly rats with hyperlipidemia, offering a scientific basis for developing new strategies to treat hyperlipidemia.
