Identification of Resistance to Dollar Spot Disease in Seashore Paspalum Germplasm Resources
In order to determine the resistance of the collected seashore paspalum germplasm resources to dollar disease, the dollar spot resistance of 148 seashore paspalum germplasm resources was evaluated by means of in isolated or living leaf inoculation, according to diseased area of isolated leaf(DAL),percentage of isolated leaf le-sions(PLL)and living leaf disease index(DI)at various time points. The results showed that there were signifi-cant differences in the resistance of seashore paspalum germplasm to dollar spot.Correlation analysis showed that DAL and PLL were significantly correlated(P<0.05).The results of principal component analysis of statistical indexes showed that four principal components could be extracted, which accounted for 83.186%of the total vari-ation.According to the membership function value of the comprehensive score Z,148 seashore paspalum germplasms were divided into 3 categories, highly resistance A(87),highly sensitivity B(6),and moderately sensi-tivity C(55).There were significant differences among A,B,and C types(P<0.001),and the highly resistance A accounted for 58.8%of the total samples, including HH,KC 9,Polo,17HN-09,17HN-02 and etc.In this study, seashore paspalum germplasm resources are rich in resistant materials to dollar spot disesae, and provide material foundation for breeding new varieties of seashore paspalum resistant and the development of molecular markers.
