Analysis of Sugar Metabolism in Coconut Meat through Transcrip-tome-Metabolome Combined Analysis
In order to find out the composition and molecular synthesis mechanism of sugar in aromatic pulp and non-aromatic pulp,a total of 14 significantly different sugar metabolites were obtained with the help of the com-bined analysis method of transcriptomics and metabolomics.Taking non-aromatic pulp as the control, the content of sucrose, fructose, trehalose, mannose 1-phosphate,UDP-N-acetylglucosamine,and uridine diphosphate glu-cose,in aromatic pulp increased, while adenosine diphosphate glucose showed a downward trend, the difference expression are 2.51,2.13,1.18,1.33,8.37,3.41 and 1.63 times respectively.A total of 16 differentially expressed genes were identified, among which sucrose synthase gene SS was up-regulated and sucrose content was increased, showing a positive correlation;the sucrose synthetase gene SS and fructose synthetase gene HK were up-regulated,and the fructose content was increased, showing a positive correlation;the mannosidase gene MAN was down-reg-ulated,the hexokinase gene HK was up-regulated,and the mannose 1-phosphate content was increased, showing a negative and positive correlation, respectively;the GA E of glucuronate 4-epi isomerase gene was down-regulated,and the content of adenosine diphosphate glucose was decreased, showing a positive correlation;the UGDH gene of UDP-glucose 6-dehydrogenase is down-regulated,and the content of uridine diphosphate glucose is increased, showing a negative correlation. This study provides a basis for further elucidating the molecular regulation mecha-nism of sugar synthesis.
