Comparison of Shape Difference of Different Black Currant Cultivars in Mudanjiang Area
Five introduced black currant cultivars were cultivated and tested in Mudanjiang area of Heilongjiang Province,the phenological period,plant growth,leaf and fruit characters were investigated,so as to compare their shape differences in Mudanjiang area.The results showed that'Brodtorp'and'Bona'belonged to middle maturing cultivars with big fruit and sweet and sour taste,while'Ben Lomond','Kantata'and'Ojebyn'were late maturing cultivars.In addition,the Poland variety'Bona'was highly resistant to powdery mildew,the maximum single fruit weight was 1.77 g.The highest soluble solid content of the Russia variety'Kantata'was 17.88％.The minimum single fruit weight of The Sweden variety'Ojebyn'was 0.98 g,it had high resistance to powdery mildew and cold resistance.Five introduced black currant cultivars could grow normally and bear fruit under the condition of cover-ing soil to prevent cold and overwintering,and showed good plant growth and fruit characters,they were suitable for planting in Mudanjiang area of Heilongjiang Province.It could be used as a backbone parent in breeding work,which was of great significance for the innovation and development of black currant germplasm resources.
