The Role of Selecting and Allocating Plant Resources in Reducing Water Consumption in Landscape Design
Against the backdrop of increasing global water scarcity, the selection and allocation of plant resources have become increasingly prominent in reducing water consumption in landscape design. This study explores the importance and specific practices of plant resource selection and allocation in conserving water resources and pro-moting sustainable landscape design.By sorting out the challenges faced by the current landscape design field in water resource utilization,it provides a detailed introduction to the selection standards and allocation principles of water-saving plants, and analyzes practical cases to demonstrate the specific application effects of water-saving plants in landscape design.Research has found that reasonable plant selection and configuration can not only sig-nificantly reduce water resource consumption in landscape design, but also enhance the ecological benefits and or-namental value of the landscape. This study also analyzed the shortcomings and limitations of current research, and proposed prospects for future research directions, aiming to promote the development of water-saving landscape de-sign and achieve sustainable use of water resources, which has important theoretical and practical significance.
