Research Progress in Tissue Culture of Camellia ole if era
Camellia oleifera is a unique woody oil crop in China,which has high economic value,medicinal value and ecological value.Since the beginning of twentieth century,the C.oleifera industry in China has been greatly sup-ported by the government.The scale and quality of the C.oleifera industry are constantly expanding,but the good germplasm resources of the C.oleifera are still in lack.The application of plant tissue culture technology provides an effective way for the cultivation of superior varieties of C.oleifera and plays an important role in promoting the development of C.oleifera industry.This study reviewed the current research status of tissue culture of C.oleifera in China,summarized the research results from explant selection,basic medium,growth regulator and other aspects,and discussed the existing problems and solutions of tissue culture of C.oleifera plants.It is expected to strengthen the study on tissue culture of C.oleifera,improve its utilization value,and provide reference for the construction of efficient and stable genetic system of C.oleifera.
