Analysis of Infertility Phenomenon of Hainan Camellia Seed Trees Based on Transcriptome Sequencing
Flowering sterility is widespread in the Hainan Camellia seed trees, which seriously affects the productivity of Camellia in Hainan, and its molecular mechanism still needs to be further analysis. In this study, the flower organs of normal and sterile plants of Hainan Camellia were used as experimental materials, and the key regulatory genes affecting the abortion of Hainan Camellia were mined based on transcriptome sequencing, aiming to compare the genetic differences between the sterile and fertile strains of Hainan Camellia, and analyze the biological functions of the differential genes,so as to further explore the causes of infertility of Hainan Camellia from the molecular level. The results showed that 34.46%of the 175 200 unigenes obtained had unknown func-tions,indicating that the research on the gene function of Hainan Camellia was not thorough.6 462 genes were found to be differential expression genes(DEGs)for flower organ development between normal and sterile plants of Hainan Camellia.GO annotation and KEGG enrichment were carried out on the selected DEGs,and the results showed that the infertility phenomenon of Hainan Camellia was mainly regulated by plant hormone signal trans-duction pathway and metabolic pathway. Finally, the selected 10 important DEGs were verified by RT-qPCR.The results showed that the multiples of the expression of the 10 genes were basically the same as those presented by the transcriptome, indicating that DEGs were credible. This study further analyzes the molecular mechanism of infertility of Hainan Camellia seed trees, which has certain significance for the study of Hainan Camellia.
