Research on Key Technology and Deployment Scheme of 5G NR Multicast Broadcasting
With the growing demand for IPTV,group communication and Internet of Vehicles multicast/broadcast services,the 5G multicast/broadcast service(MBS)technology based on new radio(NR)has been introduced into the 5G network.This article first introduces the 5G MBS multicast/broadcast network architecture,introducing MB-SMF,MB-UPF,MBSF,and MBSTF network elements.Then,the deployment scheme is analyzed from the perspectives of network element selection,deployment mode,disaster recovery mode,and suggestions are given.Finally,suggestions are given for the introduction of multicast/broadcast services.
