The Study of Hydrocarbon Detection Technology Based on BIOT Theory——A Case of Weizhou Formation Reservoir in Weixinan Sag
Weizhou formation,as the main oil-bearing strata in Weixinan sag,for a long time, its accuracy of hydrocarbon detection is only about 25%,which restricts the effective-ness of rolling exploration. In order to solve the problem of fluid identification in Weizhou formation, based on the theory of two-phase medium, combined with the change law of oil saturation in Weizhou formation reservoir and the fluid saturation parameters of drilled reser-voir,the response characteristics of seismic amplitude with frequency change in oil and water layers under different saturation were studied. The results show that with the increase of oil saturation, the amplitude size and the gradient of amplitude with frequency change show an obvious increase trend, and based on this, the hydrocarbon detection technology of two-phase medium theory is established. The technology is used to identify fluids in multiple traps in Weizhou formation, and the drilling target selection and well lateral drilling are ef-fectively guided according to the fluid identification results.Exploration practice has proved that the hydrocarbon detection technology of two-phase medium theory can improve the accu-racy of fluid identification to 65%,which greatly improves the exploration effectiveness. The research results not only enrich the technical means of fluid identification, but also have important guiding significance for exploration deployment.
