As a new economic form,digital economy brings the potential and power of innovation for the development of social economy.The Yellow River basin has the problems of unbalanced regional development,unreasonable industrial structure and in-sufficient motive force of innovation and development for a long time,it is of practical significance to discuss and clarify the im-pact of digital economy on the regional development of the Yellow River basin.This paper measures the development level of digital economy of 73 cities at prefecture level and above in the Yellow River basin from 2011 to 2020,and analyzes their dynam-ic evolution process,regional difference and convergence.The results show that:(1)With the promotion of Digital Economy De-velopment Strategy and action,the development level of digital economy in the Yellow River basin has been improved continu-ously,and presents the law of gradient decline in the lower,middle and upper reaches.(2)During the investigation period,the overall difference of digital economy development in the Yellow River basin showed a trend of reduction,and the regional differ-ence was the main source of the overall difference.(3)There are absolute β convergence and conditional β convergence in the whole Yellow River basin and in the upper,middle and lower reaches.
