As the important leader of construction projects, the construction project management practitioners plays a critical role in realizing the pre-determined project goals and guaranteeing the satisfaction of the project's stakeholders. On the basis of litera-ture review, this paper identifies and constructs the competitiveness evaluation framework for Chinese construction project man-agement practitioners, including three dimensions and eighteen indicators.Questionnaire survey was used in collecting data,de-scriptive statistical analysis and importance-performance analysis(IPA)were then conducted to explore the difference between the importance of competitiveness indicators and their actual levels,to reveal the weakness of the Chinese construction project management practitioners'competitiveness. The results indicate that the actual levels of 89%of the competitiveness indicators are lower than their importance levels, indicating that in general, the competitiveness of Chinese construction project management practitioners needs to be further improved.Among them, the difference of"quality"dimension is the largest, while the difference of"physical quality"is the most obvious. These are the aspects that Chinese construction project management practitioners need to focus on improving. The research results provide important theoretical reference for further improving the Chinese construction project management practitioners'competitiveness level.
