Quality Control Strategy and Practice in the Whole Life Cycle of Highway Engineering
In response to the need for improved quality control efficiency and durability in highway engineering,a life cycle quality control strategy based on the Deming Cycle was proposed.By applying this strategy to a highway project in Beijing,the issue of unstable quality during construction was resolved.The validation found that the strategy could reduce the design cycle by 25%,lower construction costs by 4%,decrease the probability of construction accidents by 60%,reduce operational and maintenance costs by 16.67%,and extend the service life of the highway by 5 years.
