Constructing a discipline of socialist trade unions with Chinese characteristics is an inevitable requirement for building a social science system of philosophy with Chinese characteristics. The history of school of trade union and the construction of trade union discipline in China University of Labor Relations ( CULR ) has gone through three stages of initiation, exploration, and leap-forward development. The current research aims to sort out this process to help better understand the advantages of CULR such as its distinctive trade union characteristics, abundant research achievements, and solid disciplinary foundation, and it also provides a solid basis for building a disciplinary system of socialist trade unions with Chinese characteristics. To construct a disciplinary system of socialist trade unions with Chinese characteristics, thus, we must promote disciplinary system construction with forward-looking vision, academic system construction with innovation as the focus, and discourse system construction with influence as the focus.
