Multi-factor Regression Analysis on Factors Affecting the Heat Transfer of Vertical U-type Ground Heat Exchanger
The heat transfer process of a ground heat exchanger is related to multiple factors, such as structure, underground thermophysical properties, and operating parameters.Given that it is impossible to consider all relevant factors in design and research, this study adopted multi-factor regression analysis to predict the heat transfer of a ground heat exchanger under a series of working conditions. On the basis of a 3D numerical model of coupled thermal conduction and groundwa-ter seepage for the vertical U-type ground heat exchanger, this study explored the effects of thermal conductivity, volumetric specific heat, inlet water flow, inlet water temperature, soil porosity,ground-water seepage rate, and drilling depth on the heat transfer of the ground heat exchanger.Relying on orthogonal test design,it calculated the heat transfer per meter of the ground heat exchanger under 64 groups of working conditions. It also built a multiple regression forecast equation for the heat transfer of the ground heat exchanger by taking multiple factors as the independent variable inputs and the heat transfer per meter as the dependent variable output.According to the experi-mental verification results of heat transfer, the equation had a high precision, and presented some significance for guiding the theoretical research and engineering design of ground heat exchangers.
