Effect of Eccentricity of Tubular Turbine Runner on the Vortex Rope in Draft Tube
Tubular turbine is widely used in the development of low-head power plants.Due to the presence of clearance at the runner blade tip,their installation may experience eccentricity.The runner has an important influence on the formation and development of draft tube vortex rope.Therefore,this study analyzed the effects of different eccentricities on the vortex structure and energy dissipation through numerical simulation.The results show that the runner eccentricity will significantly influent the vortex rope,but it has little impact on the length of the vortex rope.Meanwhile,runner eccentricities destroy the range and structure of the high entropy production rate area in the draft tube,making the center of the high entropy production rate area increasingly deviate from the axis,causing instability of energy dissipation.
