Influencing Factors of Deep Eutectic Solvents on Carbon Capture Performance
Although carbon capture technology has received widespread attention recently, there is still a lack of efficient carbon capture materials.Herein,we synthesized various deep eutectic solvents(DES)and compared the differences in sorption capacity from multiple perspectives. The sorption capacity of DES based on ethanolamine(MEA)can reach 4.39 mmol/g at 20℃ and 0.24 MPa,while DES consisted by acetic acid(AcOH)can only reach 0.85 mmol/g under the same conditions. This is mainly due to the chemical reaction between MEA and CO2 to generate aminoformate monoethanolamide, while AcOH is only the physical dissolution of CO2 molecules. The sorption capacity of DES increases with the enhancement of CO2 partial pressure and decreases with the raise of temperature.Especially, the sorption capacity of AcOH-TPAC-7 attenuates by 40.2%at 25℃ and 0.24 MPa compared to 20℃ and 0.24 MPa.The sorption capacity of AcOH-TPAC-7 increases with the improvement of water content, while MEA-TPAC-7 manifests the opposite trend.
