Optimization Design of Intercooler for Marine Gas Turbine
Printed circuit heat exchangers, with advantages such as lightweight, compact size, high compactness, and excellent heat transfer performance, are highly suitable for use as intercoolers in marine gas turbines. In this paper, the optimization design and analysis of the printed circuit plate intercooler for marine gas turbine are carried out,and the mathematical model of the optimization problem of the printed circuit plate heat exchanger is established. The global optimization search ability of the genetic algorithm is used to optimize the structural parameters of the heat exchanger with the minimum pressure drop, the lightest mass and the highest compactness as the objectives respectively. The influence of changing the mass flow rate of the hot side working medium on the performance of the heat exchanger under the condition of fixed heat load is analyzed. The results indicate that the optimized intercooler achieved an 81.52%reduction in total pressure drop,a 77.66%reduction in total mass, and a 69.10%increase in compactness compared to the pre-optimization values.
