Analysis and Study on the Influencing Factors of Flame Characteristics in Pulverized Coal Combustion
Pollutant emissions and combustion efficiency of pulverized coal are influenced by the stability of the flame during combustion. This paper uses the related theories of combustion, mass and heat transfer, multiphase flow, and other related theories to construct the control model of turbulent flow, thermal radiation, discrete phase, and combustion. It then studies the influence of excess air coefficient and preheating air temperature on the combustion flame of pulverized coal by combining numerical simulation and experimental verification. This research aims to investigate the influencing factors of flame combustion stability in accordance with the requirements of the aggregate drying process. The findings indicate that the features of the combustion flame of aggregate drying pulverized coal will be influenced by the surplus air coefficient and preheating air temperature. The flame length fell by 12.1%,the flame volume reduced by 16.3%,the high temperature occupancy increased by 6.1%,the surplus air coefficient increased from 1.0 to 1.3,and the total flame deformation increased. The temperature of the preheating air rose from 303 K to 373 K,and there was an increase in flame length 17.1%,flame volume 10.8%,high temperature occupancy 14.7%,and total flame deformation.Good stability, high combustion efficiency, and low pollutant emissions are the characteristics of the optimum flame when the surplus air coefficient is 1.2 and the preheating air temperature is 343 K.
