Research progress on insert injection molding of continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites
The insert injection molding process of continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites enhances the mechani-cal properties and production efficiency of products by combining the advantages of continuous and discontinuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites.It is widely used in the aerospace and new energy vehicle sectors.The characteristics and applications of the insert injection molding process for continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites were introduced,and the effects of material system,interface modification,and process parameters on the interface bonding performances and mechanical properties of insert injection molded parts were summarized.Finally,the current research problems and methods to improve the interfacial proper-ties of insert injection molded composites were summarized,and the future development trends were discussed.
