Multi-objective optimization of injection molding process for truck front roof cabinet door outer panel
Taking the truck front roof cabinet door outer panel as the research object,the injection molding process was simu-lated and analyzed based on Moldex3D mold flow analysis software.According to the results of the initial simulation analysis,the values of volumetric shrinkage and Z-direction(product demolding direction)warpage displacement were too large,so the mould temperature(A),melt temperature(B),injection time(C),holding time(D)and holding pressure(E)were selected as the test factors,and 16 groups of orthogonal tests were carried out with volumetric shrinkage(α1)and Z-direction warpage displacement(α2)as the indexes and the optimal process combinations of volumetric shrinkage and Z-direction warpage displacement were obtained by polar analysis,respectively.The optimal process combinations of volumetric shrinkage and Z-direction warpage displacement were obtained by polar analysis,respectively.After comparing the parameters of the two process combinations,the entropy weight TOPSIS method was used to comprehensively evaluate and analyzed the process parameters.Through the polar analysis of the comprehensive evaluation index,the influence of each factor on the volumetric shrinkage and Z-direction warpage displacement is in the order of E>A>D>C>B,and the optimal combination of process parameters is A1B1C2D1E4.The optimal combination of process parameters was simulated in Moldex3D,and the analytical results were as follows:the volumetric shrinkage rate is 8.237%,and Z-direction warpage displacement is 1.198 mm.Compared with the initial process parameters,the optimized volumetric shrinkage is reduced by 5.105%and the Z-direction warpage displacement is reduced by 1.082 mm,which are 38.26%and 47.46%lower than before optimization,respectively.At the same time,the injection mold is designed and manufactured,and the combination of the optimal process parameters is used for the actual trial mold on site,and the product qualification rate is 83.33%,which meets the production requirements.Therefore,it is proved that the multi-objective optimization problem in injection molding can be effective-ly solved by using Moldex3D mould flow analysis software and entropy weight TOPSIS method.
