Effect of curing circulation thermal history on dimensional shrinkage of aramid paper honeycomb core materials
In the process of repairing the aramid paper honeycomb core materials, the honeycomb parts need to be heated and cured many times, which may lead to the dimensional shrinkage of the honeycomb core, resulting in a dent in the parts. Therefore,it is necessary to study the influence of curing circulation thermal history on the dimensional shrinkage of aramid paper honeycomb corematerials,so as to provide reference for the repair and filling scheme of aircraft composite aramid paper honeycomb sandwich structure. The effects of various repaired curing temperature and recirculating heating frequency on dimensional shrinkage of domes-tic and foreign aramid paper honeycomb core materials were investigated.By measuring the size of honeycomb core materials after each solidification, the shrinkage rule of honeycomb core material was explored. The results indicate that the dimensional shrinkage degree of honeycomb core materials is significantly higher after repeated curing circulation under high(177℃)and middle-high(121℃)temperature conditions than that under low(66℃)and middle-low(93℃)temperature circumstances. After 5 times of repaired heating circulation, the dimensional shrinkage degrees of these honeycomb core materials are relatively higher than that of 1st heating. For domestic and foreign honeycomb core materials with the same thickness, the shrinkage degree of domestic honey-comb core materials is lower after multiple curing cycles. In general, the dimensional shrinkage degree of these aramid paper honey-comb core materials used is low after multiple thermal history circulation, has good dimensional stability, can better meet the need of honeycomb sandwich structure multiple repair and filling.
