Design of large inverted injection mould for plastic inspection well based on Moldflow
In view of the structural characteristics of a plastic manhole made of high density polyethylene, the mould adopted one mold one cavity layout, and a needle valve hot runner system. The molding process of the product was analyzed by CAE through Moldflow.Based on the CAE analysis results and the overall structural characteristics of the product, the mould was designed as an inverted mould, and the ejection system was designed in the fixed mould.Six sets of"embedded square oil cylinders+large slider"demolding structures were designed on the fixed mold side, reducing the overall size of the mould. In response to the full circumference retraction feature of the product,an"eight petal"inward retraction mechanism was cleverly designed inside the four large sliding blocks, mainly were driven by a large movable insert to move eight small inserts.A core pulling and demolding structure consisting of 8 sets of"inclined guide columns+springs+spring blocks+T-shaped guide blocks"was adopted on the dynamic mould side;In the design of the cooling system, independent circulating water channels with a diameter of 14 mm were arranged on each large insert and slider, and independent circulating water channels with a diameter of 6 mm were designed on the small insert of the internal contraction mechanism. All water channels were almost distributed along the shape of the product, forming a good cooling effect; After the actual production with the mould, all mechanisms operate smoothly, and the product molding cycle and dimensional accuracy all meet the requirements, proving that the molding and demolding mechanism design of the mold is reasonable.
