It is an important measure to"non-litigation dispute resolution mechanism is placed ahead of the litigation mecha-nism"to construct the diversified ways and methods to solve engineering cost disputes.In order to understand the current situation of engineering cost disputes,taking Shaanxi Province as an example,47 relevant units were surveyed through com-munication and discussion,questionnaire surveys,and other methods.Based on the reform measures and research status of engineering cost disputes,the paper analyzes the problems and causes of relevant dispute resolution units,clarify the role positioning of resolution units in the diversified dispute resolution mechanism.Propose solutions and suggestions from the as-pects of reconciliation,mediation,arbitration,litigation,etc.Analyze the feasibility of diversification from strengthening the governance of litigation sources,improving dispute resolution mechanisms,and establishing third-party professional technical platforms.Promote the establishment of a diversified dispute resolution model in which court departments,arbitration institu-tions and industry authorities cooperate.
