Strategic Analysis of Personnel Resources of Multinational Enterprises in Guangdong
It has been ten years since China joined the WTO, in which multinational enterprises have experienced a peak of formation and development in the country. Guangdong, as the frontier of China' s reforming and opening-up policy, has become the center of competition for multinational enterprises for setting up headquarters and branch offices. Globalization of economy and the transfer of cost have forced most multinational enterprises to adjust their developing strategies in China. Meanwhile, the importance of personnel resources has reached a new level in the development of global enterprise management mode. And strategies on personnel resources are considered as a key, even the vital part of corporate strategies. Take multinational corporations in Guangdong for example, improvement in professionalism of practitioners, development in labor market, competition of professionals from local corporations, bottleneck in personnel development and staff need for a sense of belonging, have all made a higher demand for corporate personnel resource strategies. With the regional characteristics of Guangdong market, this paper analyses the situation confronting multinational corporations, discusses personnel strategies of multinational firms and offers the solutions to the emerging problems.
