As Chinese people have solved the problem of adequate food and clothing and had a better- off life, there comes the need for happiness and dignity. As a result, the CPC and the central government, representing people＇ s interest and adopting the ＂for the people＂ policy, put forward that the government should ＂let people live a more dignified life＂ and take it as its own duty to safeguard people＇s dignity. Alternatively, the government should secure, recognize and respect people＇ s rights of all kinds. Further, more reasonable political, economic and cultural system, mechanism and policy should be formulated to protect and maintain people ＇ s dignity as they deserve.
