Levelized Cost Optimization Space Analysis for Wind-solar Electrolytic Water Electrolyzing Hydrogen Generation
Hydrogen energy is an integral part of China's green and low-carbon energy system and a key carrier for achieving the"dual carbon"goals. The sustainable development of hydrogen energy in the future is oriented towards the production of"green hydrogen"through electrolysis of water, but currently, there is less attention paid to the latest cost leveling and cost optimization space for producing"green hydrogen"from renewable energy. This article calculates the latest leveling cost of"green hydrogen"based on the latest data of China's hydrogen production industry. Then,it analyzes the optimization space of the system's power generation and hydrogen production costs, and finally conducts sensitivity analysis. The results show that the latest standardized price of"green hydrogen"in China is 20 yuan/kg,which is close to the current cost of"gray hydrogen"produced from traditional fossil materials.Based on the analysis of cost optimization space for both power generation and hydrogen production,by 2030,the cost of hydrogen leveling can be reduced by about 48%,reaching 10.4 yuan/kg.Sensitivity analysis shows that for every 0.02 yuan/kWh decrease in wind and solar electricity prices, the cost of hydrogen leveling is reduced by approximately 1.2 yuan/kg.
