Application of Laser Scanning Technique in Transmission Line Monitoring
Due to environmental factors, the stress and repeated thermal expansion and contraction of transmission lines during construction can cause changes in conductor sag, which often deviates from the design value. Therefore, monitoring line sag under special operating conditions is crucial. This study uses 3D laser scanning technology to obtain point cloud data and 3D geographic spatial information of the transmission lines in the research areas, construct a 3D model of the transmission lines, extract the spatial coordinates of the lines through data analysis, and calculate the safe distance of the transmission lines to the ground or crossing object. The research results indicate that 3D laser scanning technology can achieve accurate measurement of sag and space of transmission lines, with a measurement accuracy of up to 0.001 m,which helps to improve the construction quality and safety control level of transmission line engineering, and has broad prospects for promotion and application.
