Controlled Islanding Sections Search Algorithm Considering Stability of Islands
To ensure the secure and stable operation of the power system, the reasonable controlled islanding sections must guarantee the stability of the islands after the system separation. It is necessary to theoretically analyze the relationship between island stability and controlled islanding sections.Firstly,by applying equivalent transformation, the multi-machine system is approximated as a one machine infinity bus(OMIB)system.Through analyzing the equilibrium points, stabilized boundaries, and power balance relationships of the OMIB system, the paper introduces a metric for rotor angle and frequency stability in the islands.Secondly, the sensitivity of line switching to the rotor angle and frequency stability in the islands is derived through mathematical relationships.Thirdly,to optimize island stability, the controlled islanding sections search problem is transformed into a graph partitioning problem. The traditional spectral clustering algorithm is developed with a constrained k-means algorithm to solve this issue. Finally, the algorithm is applied to IEEE 39 bus system to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
